If you know of an organization, e.g., Scouts, etc., that would be interested in volunteering for work around Vandergrift, please submit under the Comments tab, or call us directly at 724-567-7818.
Also, the Vandergrift Public Library is always in need of volunteers: Below is a list of various volunteer jobs at the library.
Help is needed with a variety of tasks around the library. Interested individuals age 15 and older are encouraged to volunteer. Parental permission must be provided for teens, ages 15-17. Every effort will be made to provide an enjoyable volunteer experience.
Inside the library: Teach a workshop or special talent. Help with shelving materials, check books on the shelves for proper order or assist the Children’s Librarian with storytimes, crafts and programming.
Outside the library: Staff fundraiser booths during community events, help host a special event, sell raffle tickets or take care of the flower garden. We need people to bake cookies, cupcakes or other bakery items, from time to time.
On an average, 1,500 – 2,000 people come and go through our doors. With all of this activity, the Library gets a little rough around the edges. You could help us keep our library welcoming and clean.
An invitation to you . . . If you love our library and can give a few hours per month, please email or phone 724-568-2212 to let us know of your interest.
